Administrative Board

The Danish Arab Center for Future Studies (DACFS) consists of a number of bodies, including

First: Presidency Council

The Presidency Council consists of:

1. Executive Director of the Center

Professor Dr. Abbas Naji Al-Imami (Executive Director of the Center) who is responsible for the following:

a. He is the center's first administrative supervisor, and his responsibility is to make decisions to determine the tasks of the center's units.

b. Choosing unit heads and members in line with their expertise and specializations..

c. Supervising the implementation of the center’s policy.

d. Conducting cooperation agreements according to mechanisms that achieve the center’s interest.

2.Chairman of the Center’s Scientific Council

Professor Dr. Omar Hajo Al Mahdi (Chairman of the Center’s Scientific Council) who is responsible for the following:

a. Supervising the development of necessary  plans to achieve the center’s  work  and objectives, and scientific, cultural and media communication.

b. Communicating with scientific institutions, research , academic centers , and universities both within the Arab world and internationally.

c. Follow up on the center’s membership and activities internally and externally.

Second:  Administrative Council

The Administrative Council consists of number of  unit heads with scientific and academic experience.

Duties of the Administrative Council

·        Determine the center’s general scientific policy.

·        Determine the annual scientific program for the work of the center’s units.

·        Supervising the activity of the center’s units.

·        Supervising the publication and editing of the Centre’s periodicals.

·        Forming research committees.

·        Developing and formulating proposals for cooperation with scientific research institutions.

·        Helping determine who should contract or cooperate with.

·        Submitting annual reports on the progress of the center’s work to the Presidency Council.

·        Planning the center’s activities in terms of (seminars, lectures, courses, and conferences).

Third: Scientific Committees

The scientific committee is composed of professors and heads of the center’s units with various specializations. It supervises the scientific activities of the center according to specialization, and follows up on the scientific projects of their units.
